Unlocking your Body's Messages

Get a "Health-Detective" Mindset
The mind-body connection is a powerful concept thatโs now widely accepted: your body uses symptoms to get your attention; when your put yur Health Detective hat on, you could gainย extra unique insights into the "why" behind your symptoms and what they mean for you, personally.ย Once you know the WHY, this gives you a huge big hint on the HOW you solve the mystery.ย
By asking a few specific, targeted questions, you can begin to decipher your bodyโs language.ย
Your 7 Clues to Understanding Your Symptoms:ย ย notice, notice, notice!
Intensity & Timing:ย How intense is the symptom now, and does it change with rest, movement, or certain times of day?
Location & Dominance:ย Is the symptom on the left or right side of your body? Are you dominantly left or right-handed?ย
Biological Function:ย What is the purpose of the affected body part or system (e.g., digestive, respiratory, or musculoskeletal)?
Patterns:ย Have you noticed any recurring patterns, such as alternating phases of pain, swelling, or numbness?
Specific Location:ย Can you pinpoint the exact spot of discomfort?
Symptom History:ย When did you first experience this symptom, and when was the most recent time it occurred?
Emotional Link:ย Can you connect the onset of your symptoms to a specific, stressful event or past trauma?
Beyond these clues, your overall health is also impacted by other factors like stress, nutrition, exercise, social support, and your emotional inner world. By bringing these answers to your conscious awareness, you can begin to connect the dots and gain an all-empoweringย ย fresh perspective.

When you consider that:
Not everyone who has a heart-attack is obese; I personally know a tri-athlete who had one (he survived!);
Not everyone who has lung-cancer has smoked cigarettes or worked in a dusty environment;
Not everyone who gets Dementia is "old"- people in their early 30's can "get" dementia;
Not everyone who gets Irritable Bowel Syndrome has gluten, dairy, or nut intolerances.
Truth is, each case is unique.ย That's because YOU are unique. So, we can deduce that there are many other factors to consider too.
When you experience symptom flare-ups, it's really useful to keep a diary or journal handy so you can make a note of any changes or fresh insights you experience, possibly memories that pop up from the past or even, perhaps, new behaviours you notice in yourself.
Many of us are experiencing a collective shiftโa quiet yet profound rise in human consciousness. We are waking up to new ways of thinking and being, questioning old beliefs, and seeking a deeper connection to ourselves and the world around us. This really affects our health too.
